This residential development on the outskirts of Marrakech distinguishes itself from neighboring projects by forging a deep, physical connection to the local soil. While surrounding offerings often lean toward sterile materials, this design reinterprets the Marrakech identity through traditional Moroccan shapes and a warm selection of local materials, most notably the use of earth-made bricks. The simple vaults, reimagined in colored "brut" concrete, and the use of native colors ensure the project remains rooted in its context while offering a sophisticated, contemporary silhouette.
The architecture is fundamentally bioclimatic, utilizing protruding masses to shield the home from the intense summer heat while capturing the warmth of the low winter sun through double-height glazing. Privacy is maintained across the four ensuite bedrooms via integral brick moucharabiehs that filter light without breaking the building's cohesive, grounded materiality. Inside, the project offers a superior level of spatial organization, highlighted by a sculptural staircase and a dual-kitchen program that separates social gathering from high-function culinary prep, creating an authentic alternative to the standard residential templates in the area.
